Today was spent at the fabulous home of cupenny, with her very nice family (and very adorable dogs and cats) working on a vest. Steph, there was talk of Kaylee shenanigans, even though you hadn't gotten around to siccing Penny on me yet. There was also a great deal of WIN in the adventures of getting a vest made. It's not quite done, yet, but we've got the shell done, and it's tailored to fit me, so on Tuesday we're going to get together to finish it up.

Plus there was awesome dinner. Mmm, carne asada and fresh-picked corn on the cob. Delicious. And we watched the first of Doc's canon (Young Guns) and are going to watch the second one on Tuesday!

As for the house situation, we are attempting to scrape together enough money to buy us a month, so that they don't come and seize the house. I'm going to spend most of tomorrow packing anyways, just in case my aunt doesn't come through with the money transfer. So if I'm not around...that's why.

If we manage to make the payment for a month, then we're going to spend that month getting ourselves a storage unit and moving out our stuff. I have no idea what we're going to do with the pets, to be honest. It's pretty depressing, because I don't want to have to turn the cats over to a shelter.

I just don't really know what to do, but I will do what I can - keep my head above water and just keep swimming against the current. I'm a good swimmer, and I won't drown.

Even with this bad news, today was a really great day - a day that I needed.
