ups and downs
I had a really great time at the wedding yesterday, and everything (and everyone) looked gorgeous. There were a few hitches (as nothing EVER goes off without a hitch, even when you're getting hitched) but it was all good in the end. It was a great time and we had a bunch of fun.

Near the end of the wedding I was really damn tired (I'd been up for 30 hours, spent several hours in the sun climbing around on a ladder in the middle of the day heat before the wedding) and the full meal, two beers, cake, and dancing (a friend of mine and I did the 'Time Warp' together as we were the only two who knew the whole dance) took a toll on me and I came home, and immediately went to bed. I slept from about 10:30PM to 12PM, so I'd say that I'm pretty caught up - even if my sleep schedule is kind of whacked out now.

Sarah just left after stopping by to bring us some leftover wedding cake, which I'll probably munch on in a bit. Yay for wedding cake!

The not-so-great part of today was hearing back from my mom on the financial situation. We had been planning on my aunt helping us out with a mortgage payment. It turns out that she doesn't want to help us out after all (and waited until the Saturday before the end of the month with TWO BUSINESS DAYS LEFT IN IT) to tell us that.

Seriously?!

Thanks a lot. Ugh.

Not to mention how she went on to say in her email that there's no way we can fix the house up before selling it, because we've let it 'fall apart' and that us daughters do nothing to contribute, really. Other than the fact that I'm paying for things (but honestly, 300 bucks a week isn't that much in the scheme of things) of course. She did mention that.

I just.

Well, fantastic.

So we need $2000 dollars by Tuesday in order to try and beg the bank not to put us into default because we really SHOULD pay them $8000 but there's no real chance in any world of that happening.

I'm really glad we got dinner last night at the wedding, because I suspect that's the last good meal I'll eat for awhile.
